L-Lysine monohydrochloride is the hydrochloride salt form of the essential amino acid L-Lysine. It appears as a white or nearly white crystalline powder, freely soluble in water. It is primarily used to supplement lysine deficiency in food and feed since lysine cannot be synthesized by the human or animal body.

Main Applications:

  1. Feed Additive: Widely added to swine, poultry, and aquatic feed to improve protein utilization and promote growth.

  2. Food Fortification: Used in cereals, beverages, and dairy products to compensate for lysine deficiency in plant proteins.

  3. Pharmaceuticals & Supplements: Used to prevent/assist in treating herpes simplex (cold sores), improve appetite, support children's growth, enhance calcium absorption, and aid tissue repair.
